Ariel Guidry and Trimiko Melancon
October 24, 2012
This three-part interview with filmmaker Nev Nnaji focuses on her new documentary “Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights.” The film looks at the marginalization of black women during the Civil Rights Era between the ideologies of Black Power and Feminism.
Nev came to Tulane on October 8th to screen her documentary; our Visiting Scholar Trimiko Melancon and Media Intern Ariel Guidry had a chance to sit down with her and talk about her inspiration, the subject of her film and the production process. Ariel filmed and edited the interview between Nev and Dr. Melancon.
