Ms. Foundation Southern Focus

msfoundationFormerly the Katrina Women’s Defense Fund, Southern Focus provides grants to organizations in the Gulf Coast that work to meet the immediate needs of women of color and low-income women, ensuring that their voices and leadership are central in recovery work. In 2008 they broadened their focus to include a broader region of the South than just the Gulf Coast, and now support organizations and groups of women of color that are not recovery related.
